“If thou seest the oppression of
the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel
not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there
be higher than they.” —Ecclesiastes 5:8
What a wonderful
truth! GOD IS STILL ON HIS THRONE! Let the hordes of Hell come out against us,
we are on the winning side in Christ. Though the Devil attacks us relentlessly
as soulwinning Christians, the battle is the Lord's!
Though the wicked prosper around us, God is still on His
throne in Heaven! Ecclesiastes 8:12 states, “Though a sinner does evil a
hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be
well with them that fear God, which fear before him.” We are living in perilous
times of great injustice. Jesus forewarned of these perilous times, when even a
man's loved ones would turn against him. Matthew 10:36, “And a man's foes shall
be they of his own household.” My friend, know that God is still on His throne!
These are the end times. “For men shall be lovers of their
own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy ... having a form of godliness, but denying the power
thereof...” (2nd Timothy 3:2,5). Ecclesiastes 7:18 proclaims, “...he that
feareth God shall come forth of them all.” Thank God! Thank God! The Devil may
win some of the fights, but the battle is the Lord's.
We are warned in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places.” What a Scripture! Satan is continually wrestling against soulwinning
Christians. The Word of God teaches that Satan influences the unsaved to do his
will, “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in
the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2). Our battle is not against
people; but against Satan working in their heart.
As believers we have the Holy Spirit of God (Romans 8:9).
Amen! There is no greater feeling than having the presence of the Lord's Spirit
within our body. If you've ever been in a wicked place, you can feel the strong
contrast between the Spirit of God and the spirit of Satan. Satan is already
damned, it's just a matter of time, and his time is running short.
The Devil is a murderous lying thief (John 10:10) and he
looks for weakness. Satan looks for weak-minded people, or believers who are
not grounded in the faith, to inspire them to do evil. It has often been said,
“An idle mind is the Devil's workshop,” but it is also true that “A weak mind
is the Devil's workshop.” It is critically important for each believer to KNOW
what he or she believes concerning the Word of God, and also that they form a
strong relationship with God. The average believer today is blown about by all
sorts of heresies and strange doctrines. You can't discern a prophet by what he
says, because they'll say anything to deceive people. You can tell a false
prophet by what they DON'T say. A false prophet won't warn you about the Roman
Catholic church that teaches a false plan of salvation.
The average believer today is shallow, and their
Christianity only runs skin deep. These types of Christians only do right when
they feel like it. This is the pastor who sings “Take your burden to the Lord
and leave it there” one day, but stabs his Christian brother in the back the
next. The average believer fails to see the demonic spirit behind the corrupt
modern versions of the Bible. The average believer today is spiritually
sleeping, carnally minded and a casualty to the cause of Christ.
If you want to make the Devil's crowd mad, just start
preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Anytime you start preaching from the Word
of God, look out! The Devil's crowd hates the Bible. 2nd Timothy 3:12 states,
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
There's something very wrong with a professed “Christian” who is not suffering
any persecution. When you raise a flag for God, you WILL BE persecuted.
God is still on His throne! The Devil can try to kill,
steal, and destroy our lives; but “he that is higher than the highest
regardeth” (Ecclesiastes 5:8). Ultimately, we all have to answer to God for the
lives we live, and God will judge each of us according to our works. Romans
14:12 declares, “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
100 Years from Now We'll All Be in
Eternity—Heaven or Hell
It won't matter 100 years from now how much money you had
in this life—you can't take it with you beyond the grave. It won't matter 100
years from now how popular you were in this life, nor how successful you were
in this world. All that will matter is whether you died in the Lord with your
sins forgiven; or you died in your sins without Christ as your personal Saviour.
Ye must be born again (John 3:5).
For the Christian, nothing in this life will matter in
Heaven except what we do for the Lord. God didn't put us here to eat, drink and
be merry. God put us here to please Him (Revelation 4:11). Proverbs 3:5-7 tells
us to acknowledge God in all our ways and He will direct our paths. If we don't
acknowledge God in all our ways, then He won't direct us. It is God's choice
for us to seek His opinion in every matter. Acknowledging God means SEARCHING
THE SCRIPTURES (John 5:39) to find what God's choice is in every area. This is
God's will for every believer. God always gives His best to those who leave the
choice to Him. It pleases God when we trust Him. We limit God when we don't
trust Him.
Believers who bury their talents and hide their Gospel as
2nd Corinthians 4:3 teaches, won't be as happy in Heaven as those in Daniel
12:3 who shine as the brightness of the stars for turning many to the
righteousness of Jesus Christ.
The happiest people in Heaven will be the soulwinners, “And
they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that
turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever” (Daniel 12:3). The
most miserable believers in Heaven will be those who hurt others and selfishly
lived this life only thinking about themselves. God is still on His throne
folks! Are you on the Lord's side? Proverbs 21:30, “There is no wisdom nor
understanding nor counsel against the LORD.”
"The Lord is not slack
concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to
us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance." —2nd Peter 3:9
